Abraham vs Lot
I've had this in my mind for a while but I never wrote it until now. I read the story of Abraham and Lot, and how Lot chose the land near Sodom and Gomorrah. Image from Pinterest One lesson I always picked up was that he didn't even respect his uncle enough to wait for Abraham to choose first. But another lesson I discovered was that Lot chose that land because it was common sense to choose it. His animals would feed well, it just felt right. In the same way, it's common sense to go to an ATM that is dispensing money rather than one with no money. It made me realize how many decisions I make decisions because it's just common sense. Because it's common sense, I don't involve God. So, the times I involve him are when it stops making sense, when it gets confusing. Forgetting that God wants to be involved in even the basic decisions like what to wear or what to eat. God is really interested in you and your decisions. Big or Small.
