The Distance We Didn't Notice.
Hi everyone, how are we doing?
Many people are on holiday except me and other med students in the world (sighs), but we'll be fine.
Let's talk about friendship and yes, this is not the first time I've written about friendship. The last time it was about Fights and Friendship. Here's the link to the blog post:

The calls start from two hours to one hour to thirty minutes to ten minutes to no calls at all. The constant visits turn to no visits. Your friend is there but you don't feel it. The laughter is reduced, the hugs no longer feel warm, the smiles are not wide anymore, and everything just starts to feel awkward.
When these things happen, you try to convince yourself that the person is still your person, but you know there is a space in that friendship.
You try to communicate your feelings to your friend and to find the things you once loved about that person. Sometimes, the friendship is rekindled but if not, you accept that this is no longer your person. You finally learn to move on without malice and anger, you just give back the energy you receive.

But today, it's about those conversations that turn silent. No fights, just silence.
One hard life lesson I've learnt is that people grow apart. Sometimes we hold on to a friendship that is fading because nothing went wrong, but the truth is friendships are outgrown, and it's alright.
